Ambassador for children's wellbeing · Advocate · Counsellor
Here for children
before anything else.
Laurie Edouard-Betsy is, first and foremost, an advocate and ambassador for children's wellbeing - driven by a deep desire to see young people seen, supported and well long before they grow up trying to undo what was missed.
As a certified counsellor based in the UK, she turns that advocacy into practical conversations - listening for what's underneath behaviour adults often misread, and equipping parents, teachers and pastoral leads to do the same.
She is also a mother of three and the author of the Rewritten Roads books. Every title is written in a deliberately ADHD-friendly format: short chapters, plain language, plenty of white space, accessible fonts and a clear sense of progress on every page - so children can read, understand, digest and actually feel like they're accomplishing something. Her debut, Could Never Be Me!, follows Elias, a Gen Z boy learning confidence in a world full of opinions. Her second book, The Wrong Kinda Loud, tells the story of Gia, a girl navigating approval-seeking friendships and confusing inner thoughts while growing up without a father's voice to guide her.
Laurie's books are written to open conversations between children and the trusted adults in their world - not just to entertain.
She also co-founded Soul Surge Events, supporting men and women across the UK through purpose-driven community experiences, and actively champions youth development and mentorship - because every child deserves someone in their corner who refuses to give up on them.
